- Organizing the flow: initialization, confirmation and transitions between steps
- Consistent naming and object structure to simplify future maintenance
Validations and exceptions
- Developing verification profiles and data control rules across the transaction flow
- Adding value help in fields where justified
- Design of list screens and scrolling handling (e.g., page up/down) on small resolutions
- Exception handling in RF transactions with clear messages for the user
- Running background process functions where this shortens work on the device
- Extending standard RF transactions in a controlled way (e.g., via BAdI)
Testing and go-live
- Testing screens on target resolutions and in the target display profile
- Checking navigation: step transitions, returns, cancellations and confirmations
- Verifying validations, exceptions and list behavior in typical operational situations
- Refining ergonomics: field order, description lengths, menu clarity
- Preparing the deployment package: object organization and configuration consistency
- Post-go-live stabilization: quick fixes and closing out process decisions
